GENERAL REVIEW.

This company was incorporated and established. January
10, 1887. The head office was moved from Huntingdon, Pa.,
to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., in 1904. It insures largely mills,
elevators and warehouses, and has been successful, insuring
its members at low rates.

The company states that the saving to members in 1919
was $337,938.87, which represents the difference between
what the policyholders actually paid in assessments, and
the basis rates. It assesses only for the actual cost of in
surance, and policyholders retain the savings effected in-
stead of paying the company a cash full premium and
receiving any savings in the way of cash dividends.

It is licensed in Ga., Ill.. Ind., Kan., Mass., Mich., _Minn..
N. J., N. Y., O., Ore., Pa., S. D., Tex., Wash. and Wis.

The company's investments are of good character. The
security valuations used in this statement are those fixed
by the Convention of Insurance Commissioners.
