ExAMINATIONS.

The Homa'opafhic Mutual Life Insurance Company of Xew York was examined by this department as of June 9, 1887, for the purpose of ascertaining its condition at that date. It appears from the report of the examiners filed July 5, 1887, that the company ceased transacting new business on or about January 10, 1887, and since that time had been reducing its outstanding policy obligations preparatory to retiring from business, and the impairment of its capital stock had been reduced from $80,232.30 December 31, 1886, to $6,177.21 June 9, 1887, the amount
